Our company mailbox on an Ionos-hosted server is being flooded with unwanted messages and I need an expert to stop them quickly and cleanly. The mail flow passes through Ionos before it reaches Microsoft Outlook on the desktop, so whatever you implement must sit at server level and not rely on individual client rules.

What I already know
• The problem is on the company email server, not a personal inbox.
• We run on the Ionos mail platform (not Exchange or Google).
• Spam ranges from phishing attempts to the usual marketing clutter—if it’s malicious, I want it blocked; if it’s legitimate but irrelevant, I want it routed to junk automatically.

What I’m hoping you will do
1. Audit current MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, then correct or harden them as needed.
2. Configure Ionos spam-filter settings or recommend a third-party gateway (e.g., SpamExperts, Proofpoint, etc.) if that offers better protection—explain any extra cost before proceeding.
3. Set up server-side rules or filters so we don’t have to micromanage Outlook folders on each workstation.
4. Provide a brief hand-off document summarising the changes and showing us how to tweak the filters in future.

Acceptance criteria
• A 48-hour period with a measurable drop in spam volume (you can guide us on what metrics to collect).
• Legitimate client messages must still arrive without delay or false-positive blocking.
• DNS or server changes propagate cleanly with no bounced mail.

If you have proven experience taming spam on Ionos or similar environments, I’d like to hear how you would tackle this and an estimated timeline.
