About Breathe for Change

Breathe for Change (B4C) is building the category of Human Intelligence in Education to address the crises of educator stress and burnout, student mental health, and AI disruption. Our accredited higher-education programs — anchored by our Master's of Education — equip educators with the human skills they and their students need most to thrive. We envision a world where school is about what truly matters: empowering students AND teachers to live purposeful, creative lives full of vitality, wholeness, and connection.
The role
You'll be a full-cycle inside sales professional guiding teachers through the decision to enroll in B4C's degree programs. Marketing fills your calendar with booked 1:1 phone calls — you run a consultative discovery conversation, help each educator reach an honest fit decision, and enroll the ones the program genuinely serves.
Know what you'd be selling: a Master's degree our graduates consistently describe as transformative — for their teaching, their wellbeing, and their lives. Every enrollment you close is a teacher who stays in the profession stronger than they came to it. Most sales jobs ask you to believe in the product as a professional courtesy; this one earns it.
Three things to know about how we work, because they tell you whether this seat is for you:
You'd be joining an awesome team
This is a small group of mission-driven professionals who genuinely like each other and are unusually good at what they do. We chase a team goal — the number belongs to all of us, not to a leaderboard of individuals — so the incentive is to make the person next to you better. Reps trade what's working in real time, review each other's calls in the film room, and celebrate each other's wins loudly. If you've worked somewhere the top closer hoarded their tricks and the floor went quiet when someone was behind, this will feel different on day one.
We take selling seriously as a craft
Our motion is documented and built from what our best people actually do, not from theory — most of our wins close on the first substantive conversation, carried by disciplined follow-up. Everything we've built around it — the playbook, the coaching, the AI tooling — exists to get you to full speed fast: weeks, not quarters. After that, the book is yours to run. There are no individual volume quotas and no commission — we make sure you have a strong, steady set of calls, flexing up and down a bit during the highest-demand weeks and months, but overall protecting your calendar against getting overloaded. We hire people who run their own week, and then we get out of the way.
We sell with integrity, structurally
Teachers are trust professionals and our buyers for life — pressure tactics, false urgency, and manufactured scarcity don't just violate our values, they're incompatible with how we're regulated and how we retain students. Honest disqualification is a celebrated outcome. The product is what makes this possible: our graduates rate the program at an NPS in the +70s, so the honest conversation and the effective one are the same conversation. If your best work happens when you're allowed to tell a prospect the truth, you'll like it here.
What you'll actually do

Run ~8–12 scheduled discovery calls a day* (20 minutes each) with teachers who booked time to talk about the M.Ed. — assess fit, run real discovery, answer program and financing questions, and ask for the enrollment decision when the signal is there. *Daily volume fluctuates with seasonality, events, and experience.

Own the follow-up between calls: short, purposeful texting that protects shows and carries momentum, completion calls that finish decisions, and the follow-through that means nothing you promised a teacher ever slips.

Sell when teachers can talk. During the school year our calls concentrate in two windows: teachers' planning/lunch periods (roughly noon–2pm ET) and after school (roughly 4–8pm ET); in summer the weight shifts earlier. Your core coverage window is approximately noon–8pm ET on weekdays — in Central or Mountain time that's an ordinary late-morning-to-early-evening day, which is why we prefer those zones. Our best reps design their week around the teacher's clock on purpose; this role requires that design to be genuine and sustainable, not overtime.

Hand each newly enrolled educator cleanly to our onboarding team. Your job is the decision — a dedicated team carries students from deposit to day one, so your selling time stays selling time.

Bring what you learn back to the team: film-room participation, script feedback, sharing what's working. Our playbook carries our reps' wording because their wording works.

Who we're looking for

A proven consultative closer. 2+ years in a full-cycle closing role — high-consideration B2C (education, financial services, insurance, home services, coaching/wellness programs) or similar consultative sales — with a track record you can quantify and explain how it was measured.

One-conversation instincts. You know how to earn a decision in the first call when the fit is real — discovery first, then a direct, unapologetic ask — and how to walk away warmly when it isn't.

Follow-through as craft. You can describe the actual system you use to keep 100+ open conversations from slipping. Organized is table stakes; we're looking for someone who treats follow-up as the job, not the interruption.

A fast, eager tool adopter. This role runs on systems — a CRM (HubSpot a plus), AI-assisted call review and coaching, texting and scheduling tools, Google Workspace — and the stack keeps getting better. You don't just tolerate new tools; you pick them up quickly, fold them into how you work, and treat them as part of the craft.

A calendar owner. You manage your own energy and hours like a professional athlete — boundaries, blocks, evening selling by design, recovery budgeted after surges.

A teammate on purpose. Our reps get better in public — film-room reviews, script feedback, lending your wording to the playbook when it works. You want colleagues who sharpen your game and you return the favor; closers who guard their tricks don't thrive here.

Mission-resonant. You care that the thing you're selling genuinely changes teachers' lives, and you can say why in your own words. Our best closers are here on purpose — selling work that matters is the point.

You do NOT need admissions, higher-ed, or education-industry experience. We'll teach you the domain, the program, and the playbook — that's what our onboarding and coaching system is for. What we can't teach in eight weeks is professional selling. If you're a great closer who has always wanted your work to mean something, this is the seat.
Growth
This role has a real career ladder: EDC → Senior EDC, with promotion earned on craft, ownership, team impact, and judgment — assessed from your actual work, not tenure. Our most recent Senior promotion went to a rep whose calls became the film-room examples the team learns from. We promote from within on purpose.
Why this seat
Sales careers rarely offer all three: a product with real outcomes, a team of mission-driven professionals who treat selling as a craft worth studying and pull for each other, and a mission you'd defend at dinner. Teachers are holding up the hardest job in America, and the ones who find us are looking for a way to grow without leaving the classroom. You'd be the person who helps them decide well. If you've been waiting for a reason to bring your best selling somewhere it counts, this is it.
