Each week I script a handful of concise, concept-driven lessons for college and university students, and I need those ideas transformed into punchy, vertical YouTube Shorts (≤60 s). The raw materials you receive will usually be a talking-head clip plus reference links; from there, your job is to turn the lecture into an addictive swipe-stopping short that teaches and entertains at the same time.

Expectations
• Edit in a 9:16 canvas, 1080 × 1920, keeping pacing fast and visuals varied.
• Layer dynamic text captions that sync tightly to speech, using colours and fonts that feel academic yet modern.
• Add supporting B-roll, diagrams, stock footage, motion graphics or memes whenever a point benefits from visual reinforcement.
• Sweeten audio, balance levels and drop in upbeat, royalty-free background music that never competes with the voice.
• Deliver the finished .mp4 plus the editable project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve—whichever you prefer).

Acceptance criteria
The short must:
1. Explain the core concept clearly within 60 seconds.
2. Hold attention: average cut length under 2.5 seconds, no dead air.
3. Be free of spelling errors in on-screen text.
4. Export in the correct aspect ratio with loudness at ‑14 LUFS ±1.

If this workflow excites you, grab the sample clip I’ll send after we agree on the topic, craft a first draft, and we’ll iterate from there.
