I’m looking for an experienced technical writer who can turn our educational software application into a clear, engaging guide that students can follow without frustration.

Scope of work
• Study the current build of the application, note its key features, and map the typical student workflow.
• Draft a logically ordered manual that covers installation, first-time setup, core functions, troubleshooting tips, and FAQs.
• Use plain language, concise step-by-step instructions, and call-out boxes for important notes or warnings.
• Supply illustrative screenshots or annotated diagrams where they add clarity.
• Deliver the final document in both editable Word format and press-ready PDF.

What I’ll provide
• Full access to the latest software build and test credentials.
• Existing feature list, release notes, and any internal SOPs we’ve written so far.
• A direct point of contact for quick technical questions.

Success criteria
• Content reads naturally to high-school and college-level students.
• All major tasks can be completed by a first-time user without external help.
• Layout and visuals stay consistent with our current brand style.

If you have a background in writing for software and can translate tech jargon into student-friendly guidance, I’d love to see samples of similar manuals you’ve created and discuss timelines.
