I’m developing a new tabletop experience for young children that blends the fun of a traditional puzzle or board game with a clear educational goal: helping players grasp numbers, basic words, and early problem-solving skills while they play.

I’m looking for a toy/game designer who can take this core idea and turn it into a fully-realised physical product—from initial concept sketches right through to a playable prototype I can test with kids and parents. Your background in child-focused design, safety standards, and engaging visual style will be essential.

Deliverables I’ll need from you:
• Concept art and component mock-ups (board, cards, tokens, or puzzle pieces—whichever format best supports the learning goals)
• A concise rulebook draft written in simple, child-friendly language
• Print-ready files or CAD drawings for manufacturing, including clear colour specs and material suggestions
• A basic prototype I can assemble or 3-D print to validate gameplay and ergonomics

I’ll provide prompt feedback on each milestone so we can refine mechanics, pacing, and difficulty until the experience truly balances fun with learning.

If you’ve designed educational toys, wooden puzzles, Montessori materials, or family board games before—and you love iterating alongside real user testing—I’d be excited to see examples of your work and discuss timelines.
