Freelance UI/UX Designer – Project Description
We are looking for an experienced freelance UI/UX Designer to design a modern, intuitive, and scalable user experience for our EdTech startup. The project includes designing a responsive website and three mobile applications (Student, Parent, and Tutor) from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and user needs.
- Conduct UX research and competitor analysis.
- Create user personas and user journey maps.
- Design user flows and information architecture.
- Develop low-fidelity wireframes.
- Create high-fidelity UI designs with a clean, modern aesthetic.
- Build a reusable design system (colors, typography, components, icons, spacing, etc.).
- Design responsive layouts for web and mobile.
- Create interactive prototypes for usability testing.
- Ensure accessibility and usability best practices.
- Prepare developer-ready files with proper annotations and assets.
- Collaborate closely with the founders and development team.
- Iterate designs based on feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Figma.
- Solid understanding of UI and UX principles.
- Experience designing mobile apps (Android/iOS) and responsive websites.
- Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
- Knowledge of user research, usability testing, and information architecture.
- Strong visual design skills (typography, color theory, layout, spacing, and iconography).
- Understanding of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines (iOS).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Ability to create developer-friendly handoff files.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A strong portfolio showcasing product-based UI/UX projects.
Preferred
- Experience working with EdTech or SaaS products.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and frontend constraints.
- Experience collaborating with product managers and developers.
