YouTube Video Editor Needed for Doctor / Lifestyle / Motivational Content

I’m looking for a reliable, creative, long-term YouTube video editor who can help turn my raw footage into engaging, professional videos for my YouTube channel.

I’m a physician and content creator producing videos around medicine, career advice, motivation, fitness/running, personal development, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship. I want an editor who can help elevate the quality of the channel while keeping the videos authentic and personal.

What I’m Looking For

You will primarily edit long-form YouTube videos, with the possibility of additional short-form content in the future.

A typical video may include:

* Removing pauses, mistakes, and unnecessary sections
* Creating a strong, fast-paced opening hook
* Clean jump cuts
* B-roll throughout the video
* Relevant stock footage
* On-screen text and graphics
* Subtitles/captions when appropriate
* Zoom-ins and other subtle motion effects
* Sound effects
* Background music
* Screenshots, articles, statistics, or graphics that support what I’m discussing
* Smooth transitions without over-editing
* Color correction and audio enhancement
* Keeping the viewer engaged throughout the video

Editing Style

I want the videos to feel professional, modern, engaging, and polished without looking overly edited.

The editing should support the story rather than distract from it.

For educational videos, I especially want the editor to creatively add B-roll, images, headlines, graphics, screenshots, and visual examples so viewers are not simply watching me speak to the camera for the entire video.

Ideal Editor

I’m looking for someone who:

* Understands viewer retention and YouTube pacing
* Knows how to identify boring sections and tighten them
* Can find high-quality and relevant B-roll/stock footage
* Has strong storytelling instincts
* Can create clean text animations and graphics
* Understands when to use sound effects, music, and visual changes
* Communicates well
* Meets deadlines
* Is receptive to feedback
* Wants to develop a long-term working relationship

Knowledge of medical, fitness, motivational, or educational content is a plus but not required.
