I have a large amount of raw video footage from my two-day wedding and reception event that needs professional post-production. Since the event was extensively captured over two days, the raw footage is significantly longer than a typical event recording.
I need the footage to be professionally edited into two separate final videos:
Wedding Video – A complete, beautifully edited film covering the important moments and rituals from the wedding day.
Reception Video – A separate, professionally edited film covering the important moments from the reception day.
Editing Requirements
• Cutting & trimming – Review the extensive raw footage and remove unnecessary footage, repeated shots, long pauses, downtime, shaky/poor-quality clips, and other unwanted sections while preserving all important moments.
• Story & narrative – Create a smooth and engaging flow for each video. The final videos should feel like professionally produced wedding films rather than simply being a chronological compilation of raw footage.
• Wedding Video – Highlight important rituals, ceremonies, couple moments, family interactions, candid moments, emotional moments, and other memorable events from the wedding.
• Reception Video – Highlight the couple's entry, stage moments, family interactions, performances, speeches, candid moments, celebrations, photography moments, and other important reception events.
• Transitions & effects – Use elegant, cinematic transitions and tasteful effects appropriate for a wedding and reception. Avoid excessive or distracting effects.
• Color correction & grading – Apply consistent color correction and cinematic grading across the footage, especially where footage comes from different cameras, lighting conditions, or locations.
• Audio & music – Clean and balance important original audio where required. Use suitable background music to enhance emotional and memorable moments while preserving important speeches, rituals, announcements, and natural conversations.
• Smooth pacing – Maintain a good balance between emotional moments, candid footage, rituals, celebrations, and cinematic shots so that both videos remain enjoyable to watch.
Final Deliverables
I need two separate finished videos:
Video 1 – Wedding Film
Professionally edited footage from the wedding day.
Video 2 – Reception Film
Professionally edited footage from the reception day.
Both videos should be exported in a widely compatible format, preferably H.264/MP4, suitable for viewing on phones, TVs, YouTube, Instagram, and sharing with family and friends.
You can use whichever professional NLE you are most comfortable with, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
After the first draft of both videos is completed, I’ll review them and provide any minor changes or corrections. After the revisions, I would like the final rendered videos along with the editable project files and associated assets where applicable.
The main goal is to transform the large amount of raw footage from my two-day wedding and reception into two polished, emotional, cinematic films that preserve the important memories of each event and are enjoyable to watch from beginning to end.
