I have a fully recorded narration track and I’m ready to turn it into a polished short-form documentary. The story centres on India, so I’m looking for an editor who already has a feel for Indian imagery, pacing, and sound.
Here’s what I can provide right away: the mastered voice-over, a rough outline of the storyline, and notes on the mood I want to achieve. I do not yet have matching visuals, so I’ll need you to source or suggest archival footage, B-roll, photographs, simple motion graphics, and subtle background music that complement the narration and can be cleared for online distribution.
I’m flexible on the final runtime (somewhere in the usual short-doc range), but it needs to flow naturally, keep the viewer engaged, and end with a clear, memorable conclusion. Clean cuts, colour-consistent footage, tasteful lower thirds, and English subtitles are all essential. A solid grasp of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is preferred, but I’m open to your tool of choice as long as you can supply the project file for future tweaks.
Deliverables
• Final documentary in 1080p (and a 4K master if footage allows)
• Subtitled version (burn-in or separate .srt)
• 15–30 sec teaser cutdown for social media
• All project files and licensed assets
If you have a reel that shows previous documentary or culturally rich edits, that will help me decide quickly. Let’s bring this voice-over to life.
