I have an echo-sounding instrument whose current PCB shows unreliable behaviour in the field. I need a skilled hardware engineer to review the existing schematic, pinpoint the root causes of the faults, and create a revised board that is production-ready.
You will receive:
• The original KiCad project (schematic, PCB, libraries)
• Test logs and scope captures highlighting the failures
• Electrical and mechanical constraints for the housing
What I expect back:
• A concise design-review report explaining each issue you find
. A power indicator LED.
• Updated schematic, PCB layout, and clean net-checking with all errors resolved
• New BOM with readily available parts and suggested alternates
• Fabrication files (Gerber/ODB++, drill, pick-and-place) plus assembly drawing
• A short bring-up guide so my in-house team can verify the first prototypes
Acceptance criteria:
1. Board powers on with stable rails; ripple within spec across the full operating range.
2. All transducer drive and receive paths operate without crosstalk or unexpected noise.
3. Microcontroller boots every time and communicates over UART, USB and RJ-45.
4. The redesigned PCB fits the existing enclosure with no mechanical clashes.
5. Full Testing with the provided 500KHz Ultrasonic Transducer.
