I have the core idea for a mess-free French press and I’m ready to see it visualised. The first release will target coffee drinkers and the familiar 1-litre (34 oz) household capacity.
Here’s the brewing flow I’m chasing:
• A low-profile basket rests at the bottom of the glass carafe before any grounds go in.
• During brewing and pressing, grounds stay inside that basket.
• At the end of the plunge, a magnetic (or otherwise quick-coupling) connection lets the plunger grab the basket.
• After pouring, the user lifts plunger + basket together, detaches the basket over the bin, gives it a rinse, and they’re done.
What I need from you now is a fully fleshed-out product concept with clear drawings that communicate form, function, and user interaction. I’m imagining a short stack of deliverables:
– Hand or digital concept sketches that establish overall shape and ergonomic details
– An exploded view showing the carafe, basket, magnetic interface, plunger shaft, and lid assembly
– At least one 3D rendering or shaded orthographic view that illustrates materials and surface finishes
Please make material suggestions (borosilicate glass, food-grade stainless, heat-resistant polymers, magnets suitable for hot liquid environments, etc.) and flag any manufacturing considerations that might influence wall thicknesses, tolerances, or assembly.
I’m happy to answer rapid-fire questions as you draw so the concept moves quickly from rough to refined. If this round goes well, the next phase will dive into prototype-ready CAD and testing, but right now I just need the concept captured crisply on the page.
