My goal is to compile all of my sales information from our e-commerce platform into one clean, reusable dataset. I already have platform access and the required permissions; what’s missing is a reliable process that extracts the raw order data, standardises the fields, and delivers it in a format my team can filter, analyse, and update whenever we need.
The platform’s API is available, so scripting in Python, pulling through a tool like Power Query, or another API-friendly method is perfectly acceptable—whichever gives us accurate, complete results. Because there’s no strict deadline, I prefer a well-documented, future-proof approach over a rush job.
Deliverables should include:
• A consolidated CSV or Excel file containing every transaction to date (order ID, SKU, quantity, price, discounts, taxes, customer location, order timestamp, and any other standard fields the API provides).
• The script or workflow you build, with clear comments so we can run it for future updates.
• A short setup guide outlining prerequisites, step-by-step execution, and troubleshooting tips.
Once everything is in place, we’ll verify the field mappings against the live store to confirm nothing is missed. Quality and transparency are the priorities; I’m happy to discuss incremental checkpoints so you can share progress and sample outputs along the way.
