Amazon India / E-commerce Product Research Expert Needed
I am planning to start an e-commerce business in India with an initial investment of approximately ₹1,00,000. I will purchase and hold my own inventory and handle packing and order processing myself.
I am looking for an experienced e-commerce/Amazon India product researcher who can conduct complete, data-driven product research and recommend the best products for me to start with.
Your research should include:
Identify profitable product opportunities suitable for the Indian market.
Initially focus on Home & Kitchen / Home Utility, but also consider other categories if you find significantly better opportunities.
Analyze Amazon India and other major marketplaces.
Analyze demand, competition, reviews, ratings and pricing.
Identify products where new sellers can realistically compete.
Estimate sales volume/demand using reliable research tools and explain the methodology.
Analyze competitor listings and their strengths/weaknesses.
Analyze negative reviews to identify customer complaints and opportunities to offer a better product.
Calculate approximate product cost, marketplace fees, shipping, packaging, advertising and realistic net profit per sale.
Find potential Indian manufacturers/wholesalers/suppliers and provide supplier details, approximate wholesale price and MOQ wherever possible.
Check whether the product is easy to store, pack and ship.
Consider return rate, damage/breakage risk and seasonality.
Identify products that can potentially be differentiated through better quality, packaging, bundling or features.
Final deliverable:
Please provide a detailed spreadsheet/report containing at least 15–20 potential products, ranked from best to worst.
For each product, include:
Product name
Category
Target selling price
Estimated wholesale price
MOQ
Estimated marketplace fees
Estimated shipping/packaging cost
Estimated advertising cost
Estimated net profit per unit
Estimated profit margin %
Competition level
Review count of major competitors
Demand/sales evidence
Customer complaints from competitor reviews
Supplier options
Initial quantity you recommend purchasing
Estimated initial investment
Return/damage risk
Seasonality
Your overall score/recommendation
From the research, I want you to identify the TOP 5 products that you personally recommend I test first, and explain clearly why.
Important: I don't want a generic list of "trending products." I need data-backed research with numbers and sources. Please don't recommend a product simply because it is popular. The product must have sufficient demand, manageable competition and realistic profit after all costs.
My goal is to start small, test the products, identify winners and then scale the successful products.
Location: India
Initial capital: ₹1,00,000
Inventory: I will purchase and hold stock myself
Packing: I will handle packing myself
Target: Indian customers
Please mention which research tools/software you use (e.g. Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Keepa or other tools) and provide screenshots/data where possible.
