Title:- Nostalgic Photo App Icon w/ 4-5 Color-Graded Versions (AI or Real Photo)
Description :-I'm building a mobile app that summarizes books and podcasts. The core goal of this app icon is to give 'Cool Vibe' to the app. I don't want this app to feel like just another productivity/learning tool — sterile, flat, corporate. I want people to look at the icon on their home screen and feel something: Cool the opposite of a "to-do list app" feeling.
So instead of a traditional flat/vector logo, I want the app icon to be a real, nostalgic-feeling photograph — genuinely photographic, not illustrated or stylized. The kind of image that feels authentic — like a real captured moment, not designed.
We will use Ai only and only if we don't find anything real. Even if we end up using AI to generate it, it must be indistinguishable from a real photograph. No flat icon aesthetics, no illustration style, no "app icon-looking" app icon.
What makes this project a bit unique
The app icon won't be static. It will change dynamically based on how much a user reads:
* The more books/podcasts a user completes reading, the more vivid, warm, and colorful the icon becomes.
* The less they engage, the more muted, dull, or desaturated the icon appears.
*
Basically, i want 4-5 color graded versions of the photo on the scale of worst to best. the idea is, more people read books on the app the more the more colorful/cool version of app icon will appear on their screen and less they learn lesson, dull versions of the app icon they get.
So basically the version of app icon in their mobile screen will keep changing based on amount of books they read.
IMPORTANT:- Ensure the final image is fully clear of copyright/licensing issues (either AI-generated, properly licensed stock, or original work) — this is a hard requirement.
Scope of work
1. Help source or generate a cool, real-life-looking photo (preferably featuring a child) that fits an app icon format — I have a few candidate photos already and would like your input/suggestions too. We'll finalize the image together.
2. Deliver 4-5 color-graded versions of the chosen photo, ranging from washed-out/dull to rich/vibrant, optimized for use as a mobile app icon (square crop, works at small sizes).
3. Export in standard app icon formats/sizes (I'll confirm exact specs, likely 1024x1024 source + iOS/Android size sets).
What I'm looking for in a freelancer
*Should have that creative and going out-of-the-box energy. Like not the one who just follows the norms.
* Strong portfolio in photo editing / color grading (not just logo/vector design)
* Experience with AI image generation tools (Midjourney, Flux, etc.) if we go that route, with the ability to make outputs look photorealistic
* Understanding of copyright-safe sourcing (stock licensing, AI-generated content rights, or original photography)
* Good eye for emotional/nostalgic, cinematic tone — please share past work with this "vibe" if you have it
* Please do NOT apply if your portfolio is mostly flat/vector/minimalist app icons — I'm specifically looking for photography-based, real-world visual style
