Dynamic Hybrid Comic Cover Design

I’m commissioning a full-process cover illustration for my upcoming issue and I need it to grab attention even when it’s shrunk to a tiny thumbnail. The visual tone should blend Western comic punch with manga energy, placing a group shot of the key characters front and centre against a vivid fantasy landscape. I’ll supply the story premise, character sheets and logo mock-ups as soon as we start.

Here’s the workflow I’m looking for:
• an initial clean sketch to lock composition and title space,
• a colour rough that establishes palette and lighting,
• a high-resolution, print-ready final (CMYK, 300 dpi, with safe area for logos, credits and bleed).

The final file can be PSD, TIFF or layered Clip Studio; just keep the text layer editable so my letterer can drop the logo in without shifting the art. Throughout the project I’ll give quick feedback at each milestone so the piece keeps its punch at every size, from thumbnail to full wrap.
