I regularly shoot overhead, faceless footage of books— explanation of what is written in the book. and I need those raw clips transformed into short-form and sometimes 8-10min long form content for both Instagram Reels and YouTube. The vibe I’m after is fast-paced: punchy jump cuts, kinetic text, subtle whooshes, and on-beat transitions that keep viewers hooked for the entire 60-90 seconds.
Must-haves
• Captions burned in, with keywords popping or tracking key passages on the page.
• Book images, page close-ups, and motion graphics that guide the eye from one quote or section to the next.
• Aspect-ratio-ready exports: 1080 × 1920 for Reels/Shorts plus a 16:9 version when I want to reuse the piece on YouTube. And sometimes 9:16 version which I will use for YouTube long form.
Nice-to-haves
Occasionally I’ll record an interview or talking-head segment about the topic. If you’re comfortable cutting those in the same quick style—and maybe layering in light background music for pacing—it’s a bonus, though not required from day one.
Workflow
1. I’ll drop raw clips and a rough outline in a shared Drive folder.
2. You trim, color-correct, and add motion graphics and captions.
3. First draft back to me within 48 hours; I mark comments directly on Frame.io (or similar).
4. Final delivery as MP4 + project file so I can archive or tweak later.
If this pace and style excite you, send over two links that show your energy-driven edits and any caption work you’re proud of. Looking forward to leveling up my content together!
