I’m currently in active litigation with my business partner over the alleged misuse of company resources. The case is already before the court and deadlines for filings are fast approaching, so I need an experienced legal writer to help me draft precise, well-structured responses to the pleadings that have been served.
The work will involve:
• Reviewing the existing complaint and any supporting documents I supply.
• Identifying each allegation related to resource misuse, breach of fiduciary duty, and any secondary contract issues.
• Crafting clear, persuasive answers and, where appropriate, affirmative defenses that comply with the relevant civil-procedure rules in our jurisdiction.
• Formatting the documents to court standards so they are ready for immediate filing.
Acceptance criteria:
1. Every numbered allegation in the complaint is addressed with an admit/deny statement and concise explanation.
2. All defenses rely on cited statutes or case law, accurately referenced.
3. The final draft meets word-count or page limits set by the court and includes proper captions, signature blocks, and certificate of service.
4. I receive the editable source file (Word or Google Docs) plus a clean PDF.
Familiarity with U.S. Michigan civil-procedure rules, contract law, and partner dispute precedent is essential. If you’ve successfully drafted answers or motions in similar matters, I’d love to see a brief example or case reference when you respond.
