Project Overview
We are developing Privafocus, a consent management platform designed to help organisations comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
We are looking for an experienced freelance Project Manager with strong technical expertise in consent management, privacy compliance, and SaaS product development. The resource should be capable of providing technical guidance, conducting product demonstrations, validating product functionality, and supporting our development team in building an enterprise-ready solution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Demonstration & Technical Expertise
- Conduct detailed demonstrations of consent management and privacy compliance platforms.
- Explain end-to-end consent management workflows, including consent collection, recording, withdrawal, and audit trails.
- Demonstrate DPDP compliance functionalities such as notices, purposes, data principal rights, grievance management, and privacy dashboards.
- Explain real-world implementation scenarios and enterprise use cases.
2. Project Management & Product Development
- Work closely with our development team to define product requirements and functional specifications.
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, product workflows, and development roadmaps.
- Support sprint planning, task prioritisation, and milestone tracking.
- Review developed features and validate them against business and compliance requirements.
- Identify product gaps and recommend practical solutions.
3. Technical Architecture & Integration
- Provide guidance on consent management platform architecture and SaaS product development.
- Advise on APIs, SDKs, database integrations, website integrations, and third-party systems.
- Support integration planning for cookie consent, email consent, WhatsApp consent, and enterprise applications.
- Guide implementation of role-based access control, audit logging, consent evidence, and multi-tenant architecture.
4. DPDP Compliance Expertise
- Understand the DPDP Act, 2023, and applicable rules and implementation requirements.
- Map legal and compliance requirements to product features and technical controls.
- Advise on consent notices, specific purposes, consent records, withdrawal mechanisms, and demonstrable compliance evidence.
- Help ensure that product functionality aligns with applicable legal requirements.
5. Product Review & Knowledge Transfer
- Conduct periodic product demonstrations and technical review sessions.
- Review existing modules and identify functional or architectural gaps.
- Provide actionable recommendations and implementation guidance.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to the internal team.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in consent management platforms, privacy technology, or data protection solutions.
- Strong understanding of DPDP Act requirements and consent lifecycle management.
- Experience in SaaS product development and technical project management.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, databases, system integrations, and cloud-based architectures.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience with platforms such as OneTrust, TrustArc, Cookiebot, Didomi, or similar solutions is preferred.
- Excellent communication and demonstration skills.
