Documentary-Style YouTube Video Editor Required

YouTube Video Editor + Visual Researcher Needed

I’m looking for a YouTube video editor who is strong at research and visual storytelling, not just basic editing.

My videos are documentary/informational style, where I usually speak directly to the camera and explain a topic. I need someone who can take my narration and turn it into an engaging, visually rich video.

What I’m looking for:

* Research the topics I’m discussing and find relevant footage, images, articles, statistics, screenshots, documents, social media posts, etc.
* Understand the context of what I’m saying rather than simply adding random stock footage.
* Find visuals that actually support or illustrate the point being made.
* Create engaging edits with good pacing, cuts, zooms, B-roll, graphics, animations, text, and sound design.
* Know how to keep the viewer visually engaged when I’m talking to the camera.
* Be able to identify opportunities in the script where a statistic, headline, graph, historical footage, map, screenshot, or other visual could make the explanation stronger.
* Ideally, be comfortable with documentary/journalistic-style editing.

The most important thing:

I don’t want an editor who waits for me to provide every visual.

I want someone who can look at a line like:

“France exports billions of dollars of software every year…”

…and think: What should the viewer see right now? Then research and find the best visual evidence to put on screen.

So research ability + visual storytelling is more important to me than fancy transitions.

Style

I’m looking for a modern documentary/YouTube style with strong pacing and storytelling. Think Johnny Harris / modern explanatory journalism rather than a generic talking-head YouTube edit.

What I will provide:

* Raw talking-head footage
* Script/narration
* General direction/topic

What I expect from you:

* Research relevant visual material
* Edit the talking-head footage
* Find and integrate B-roll
* Add graphics/text where appropriate
* Add sound effects/music when needed
* Make the video feel dynamic and professionally produced
