Our healthcare platform is already live, built on Django, and serving real patients and providers every day. Usage is growing quickly, and I now need a full-stack engineer who can keep the momentum going by improving two critical areas:

• The user interface and overall experience need a refresh so patients and staff can move through appointments, records, and billing with less friction.
• Several backend workflows require refactoring and feature expansion to support higher traffic volumes and new compliance reporting.

You’ll work closely with me, our product manager, UI/UX designer, and a small clinical advisory group. Expect to dive into the existing Django codebase, identify pain points, propose pragmatic solutions, and deliver incremental improvements without downtime.

Key activities include:
– Updating front-end templates and styling for clarity, accessibility, and responsiveness.
– Extending and optimizing Django views, models, and REST endpoints for new business logic.
– Writing unit and integration tests to safeguard critical paths.
– Reviewing security and privacy implications of each change to ensure continued HIPAA alignment.
– Preparing concise release notes and light documentation so the team can follow along.

Acceptance criteria will be defined per sprint, but every pull request must pass automated tests and demonstrate measurable gains in load time or usability. If you bring React or Node expertise, there’s future scope for progressive enhancements, yet immediate work remains squarely in Django.

Please share a brief note on comparable healthcare or other regulated-industry projects you’ve maintained, plus links to relevant repositories or live sites. I’m ready to start as soon as we find the right fit.
