Twimbit, a research and analysis firm, is studying how easy it is for people living abroad to sign up for and send money with digital remittance apps, specifically Taptap Send and Careem Pay. We're looking for testers to go through these sign-up journeys as real first-time users and tell us exactly what happens.
This is a short, paid, remote engagement. No research experience is needed, just attention to detail and a willingness to note down every step.
Only one slot per app. We are taking one tester for Taptap Send and one tester for Careem Pay. A
UAE tester who can do both apps would fill both slots. Starting ASAP, from 17 October 2026.
Where you need to be
The two apps are not available in the same places, so where you live decides which journeys you can take on.
What you'll do
• Sign up for a new Taptap Send account as a first-time user, from entering your number through ID
verification and activation, then set up and complete a money transfer to a recipient abroad.
• If you're in the UAE, do the same for Careem Pay.
• Contact each app's support at least once, using a question we give you.
• Record your screen and note the time taken, number of steps, errors, waits and any messages you receive.
• Fill in a short log for each journey and join a 30-minute call to walk us through what you found.
Who we're looking for
• Someone physically located in the UAE (preferred), or in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Australia (Taptap Send only).
• Able to open a brand-new account. You must not already have an account with the app you'll test, and you must be eligible to register for one in the country where you live. For UAE testers this means a valid Emirates ID and a UAE mobile number.
• A valid government-issued photo ID accepted by the app in your country, and a local debit card or bank
account to fund transfers. We'll confirm the details with you after shortlisting.
• A smartphone with a local mobile number. We want a mix of Android phones and iPhones across the group
About 2 to 5 hours per app, over 2 to 3 days, starting ASAP from 17 October
2026, at times that suit you. Paid engagement; 100 USD per journey. Any small app or transaction fees are
reimburse. Your need your own phone and valid ID. We provide the task guide and logging template
