Digital Platform Workers Income Survey

I am running a study that zeroes in on how much money people earn on digital platforms—ride-hailing, food delivery, online freelancing and similar gigs—and I need support to complete the field survey side of the project.

Your job is to take the survey from design all the way through data collection and hand back a clean, well-documented dataset that I can analyse. I already have a draft questionnaire. You’ll recruit a solid, diverse sample of platform workers, administer the survey (online, face-to-face or mixed methods—whatever gets reliable data), and keep meticulous records of response rates and screening criteria. Your main aim is to collect data from ola, uber and rapido drivers. Around 170 samples from each city.

Because the study focuses specifically on income and earnings, every question must capture concrete figures: gross weekly pay, typical expenses, net income, number of hours online versus active, and seasonal fluctuations. Reliability is key, so I expect you to cross-check entries, flag outliers and provide brief notes on any data cleaning decisions.

Deliverables (by or before one month after contract start):
• Final survey instrument (editable)
• Raw and cleaned data files in CSV/Excel, with a clear codebook
• Short methodological memo outlining sampling approach, consent process and any limitations

Familiarity with Google Forms .If you have prior experience surveying gig-economy workers and can point to response rates you achieved, that will strengthen your proposal.
