Develop New Website Functionality

I own an active website and would like to extend it with a brand-new function that is not yet in place. I will share the current codebase, hosting details, and any API keys you may need once we open the project so you can review the structure before touching a single line of code.

My main objective is simple: the new feature must plug in cleanly, look native to the existing design, and work flawlessly on desktop and mobile. Because the site is already live, I also need the integration handled with zero downtime—ideally by working in a staging environment first and then pushing the changes once everything passes review.

You will be responsible for:
• Auditing the present setup (front-end and back-end)
• Building the requested functionality with clean, well-commented code
• Testing across modern browsers and common mobile devices
• Migrating the feature to production and verifying it is live

I will consider solutions built with the stack that best fits the current site. If you discover a more efficient approach during the audit, feel free to suggest it; I am open to PHP, JavaScript (Node, React, Vue), Python, or another language so long as it meshes with the existing architecture.

2. How you typically safeguard a production site during updates
3. Your estimated timeframe from kickoff to deployment
