Desktop CSV-to-Excel Converter

I want a lightweight desktop application, built with Python, that lets anyone turn a CSV file into a clean .xlsx workbook in just a few clicks.

Core requirements
• Runs locally as a standalone desktop app (no browser).
• Lets users browse for one or more CSV files and load them instantly.
• Reads files that use commas, semicolons, or tabs as separators—no manual tweaking needed.
• Detects text encoding automatically so accented characters and non-English text remain intact.
• Uses Pandas for parsing and OpenPyXL for writing the resulting Excel file.
• Preserves every column, row, and cell value exactly as it appears in the source.
• Generates a downloadable .xlsx file and confirms completion to the user.

Deliverables
1. Executable desktop application for Windows (macOS/Linux packaging is a plus but not mandatory).

3. A brief README that explains setup, dependencies, and how to extend or customize the tool.

I value efficiency, clear error handling, and a straightforward UI—ideally a single-window interface with a “Select CSV” button and a “Convert” action.
