Delta PLC Programmer Required – Modbus RTU RS485 Machine Counter
We require an experienced Delta PLC programmer for our factory production-counting system.
PLC: Delta DVP14SS211R (SS2 Series)
Communication: Modbus RTU RS485
Master: Dell Linux server using Python PyModbus 3.15
Requirements
1. Configure Modbus RTU slave communication at 9600 baud, 8N1, slave ID 10.
2. All 8 digital inputs (X0–X7) must function as independent production counters.
3. Each machine produces approximately 15,000 pulses per day.
4. Use independent 32-bit counters capable of handling millions of counts without overflow.
5. Each input must support individually adjustable debounce and pulse lockout from 100–2000 milliseconds, controlled through Modbus registers.
6. Preserve all counter values during power failures.
7. Allow Dell to read and reset each counter independently through Modbus.
8. Allow Dell to write and read the active Work Order ID, target quantity and status for each machine.
9. Preserve work-order information after power failures.
10. Support PLC relay output control through Modbus, subject to hardware safety interlocks.
11. Ensure reliable operation during continuous 24×7 factory use.
System Architecture
PLC: Pulse counting, configurable filtering, work-order data storage and basic output control.
Dell Server: All work-order management, production calculations, scheduling, reporting and database logic.
No work-order business logic should be implemented inside the PLC.
