Honeywell TDC 3000 to Experion PKS Migration – DCS Applications Engineering
Working as a Honeywell DCS Applications Engineer supporting projects in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical sectors, with a primary focus on Honeywell TDC 3000 to Honeywell Experion PKS migration and modernization projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, configure, and implement Honeywell Experion PKS Distributed Control System (DCS) applications.
* Support Honeywell TDC 3000 to Experion PKS migration, including legacy system assessment, point/tag migration, control configuration, graphics migration, and system validation.
* Work with TDC 3000 architecture including LCN, UCN, HPM, NIM, and Native Window environments.
* Develop and configure Experion PKS points, control strategies, databases, and process control applications based on project requirements.
* Develop and upgrade DCS HMI graphics based on P&IDs, operating requirements, and client standards.
* Develop custom control logic and applications based on process and client requirements.
* Prepare cutover and migration procedures to safely transition applications from legacy Honeywell systems to Experion PKS.
* Support configuration changes and application updates within live production systems while minimizing operational impact.
* Integrate Experion PKS with third-party systems such as PLCs, SCADA, OPC, and Modbus-based systems and configure communication interfaces.
* Perform system testing, troubleshooting, FAT/SAT support, commissioning, loop verification, and migration/cutover activities.
* Work closely with clients, operations personnel, and engineering teams to ensure DCS designs are technically sound and meet operational requirements.
* Prepare engineering documentation including design specifications, commissioning procedures, technical reports, status reports, and system configuration documentation.
* Utilize Honeywell engineering tools and applications associated with TDC 3000 and Experion PKS, with exposure to migration-support tools such as DOC4000 and SignalMatch.
* Provide onsite engineering support during implementation, commissioning, system migration, and production cutover activities.
