I need a developer who can take my concept for a data-entry management system and turn it into a reliable, user-friendly application. The core goal is simple: make it effortless for staff to capture, store, search, and report on large volumes of structured information without relying on spreadsheets.
What I already know I need
• A clean, intuitive interface for adding and editing records
• Fast search, filter, and sort capabilities so any entry can be found in seconds
• Basic reporting with the option to export data to CSV or PDF
• Role-based access so different user groups see only what they should
• Solid data validation and error handling to keep the database accurate
Platform & stack
A web-based solution that works smoothly on modern browsers is my first choice; responsive design that behaves well on tablets and phones is a plus. I’m open to your preferred stack—Laravel, Django, ASP.NET, MERN, or something similar—as long as future maintenance and scalability are considered.
Deliverables
1. Fully functional application deployed on my VPS (or containerised image I can spin up myself).
2. Source code in a private Git repository with clear commit history.
3. Setup & user documentation that lets a non-technical admin manage users, create new data fields, and generate reports.
4. A brief handover session (video or written walk-through) covering architecture, dependencies, and backup procedures.
Acceptance criteria
• Every data field created through the admin panel appears in forms, listings, and exports without manual code changes.
• Role permissions can be tweaked from the interface, not hard-coded.
• Response times for search and save operations stay under two seconds with 50,000 records in the database.
• No critical errors reported in the browser console or server log during a 24-hour test window.
