Data Analyst Tutor Needed — Intensive 2-Month Program (Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI)
Overview

I'm looking for an experienced data analyst or data scientist to tutor me through a structured, self-directed curriculum over the next 2 months, with the goal of being fully job-ready and actively applying for Data Analyst roles by the end of the program. I already have a Master's degree in Data Science and have built out a complete week-by-week study plan — I need a tutor to guide me through it, review my work, unblock me when I get stuck, and run mock interviews at the end.

This is not a "teach me from scratch with your own materials" role — I have the curriculum already mapped out day by day. I need someone who can teach to that curriculum, adapt it if needed, and keep me accountable to the timeline.

What the Program Covers
Python for data analysis — pandas, NumPy, data cleaning/wrangling (McKinney's Python for Data Analysis + DataCamp courses)
Git & GitHub — version control fundamentals, branching, pull requests
SQL — from basic SELECT statements through joins, aggregation, and window functions (DataCamp SQL Fundamentals, Teate's SQL for Data Scientists, and a MySQL-specific applied-projects course)
Excel — PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dashboards
Power BI — Power Query, DAX, interactive report building
Applied statistics & visualization — hypothesis testing, A/B testing logic, data storytelling, R basics
Portfolio building — one unified project demonstrating all four tools (Python/SQL/Excel/Power BI) against the same dataset
Interview preparation — SQL and case-study interview practice, mock interviews
Exact Tools I'll Be Using
Category Tool / Platform
Programming Python (pandas, NumPy)
Version Control Git, GitHub
Database SQL (MySQL)
Spreadsheet Microsoft Excel
Business Intelligence Power BI
Statistical Computing R
Online Courses DataCamp (Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI skill tracks)
Video Course Udemy — "The Ultimate MySQL Bootcamp" (Colt Steele)
Exact Books I'll Be Using
Book Author(s) Covers
Python for Data Analysis (3rd ed.) Wes McKinney pandas, NumPy, data cleaning/wrangling
SQL for Data Scientists Renée M. P. Teate SQL fundamentals through window functions and analytical dataset construction
Storytelling with Data Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic Data communication and visualization design
Fundamentals of Data Visualization Claus O. Wilke Visualization principles

What I Need From a Tutor
Weekly (or more frequent) live sessions — reviewing my progress, answering questions, unblocking me when I'm stuck on a concept or a bug
Code/query/workbook review — actually looking at my Python notebooks, SQL scripts, Excel workbooks, and Power BI reports and giving real feedback, not just confirming things "run"
Conceptual explanations, not just answers — I want to understand why something works, not just get unstuck
Portfolio guidance — helping me shape my final project into something that actually holds up in an interview
Mock interviews in the final week — SQL questions, case-study/business-sense questions, and a walkthrough of my portfolio
Ideal Background
Real professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Analytics Engineer (not just familiar with the tools — has actually used them in a job)
Strong SQL and Excel/Power BI skills specifically (this is the part most "Python-only" tutors are weaker on)
Comfortable reviewing someone else's code and giving direct, specific feedback
Prior tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience preferred, but not required if you can clearly explain your reasoning
Available for consistent sessions over a full 2-month period — I need continuity, not a rotating cast of tutors
Logistics
Duration: 2 months (approximately 8–9 weeks),
python data processing excel sql data mining big data sales data analysis power bi
