I’m diving into a data-heavy project and I need an experienced Business Analyst to partner with me on the actual analysis while walking me through every step so I learn the process. The core focus is data analysis—everything from cleaning raw datasets and exploring patterns to pulling out actionable insights and packaging them in a way stakeholders can trust.
Here’s how I picture our collaboration:
• You handle the hands-on work: importing data, cleaning, modelling, visualising and interpreting results (using the tools you’re most comfortable with—Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau are all fine).
• After each stage, you hop on a quick call or screen-share to explain what you did, why you chose that approach, and how to replicate it myself.
• At key milestones you deliver a brief write-up or notebook I can reuse, documenting formulas, code snippets and decision logic.
I haven’t locked down the exact analysis style or data source yet, so there’s room to decide together whether we focus on sales, customer, or operational datasets, and whether a descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive lens makes the most sense. Your ability to advise on the best path forward is as valuable to me as the actual output.
Final deliverables:
1. Cleaned dataset(s) ready for future analysis.
2. An insights report or dashboard highlighting key findings.
3. Step-by-step documentation or recorded walkthroughs explaining your methods.
If you thrive on both doing and teaching—and you can translate complex analytics into plain language—I’d love to start ASAP and iterate in short, focused milestones.
