Darebin VicSmart Landscape Compliance Plan

I’m lodging a VicSmart application with Darebin Council and need a concise landscape plan that ticks every regulatory box. The focus is full compliance rather than grand design flair, so the drawing set must satisfy the Tree Canopy and Deep Soil requirements in the local planning scheme.

Key inclusions I require are:
• Tree canopy coverage – show all existing vegetation, calculate required versus proposed canopy areas, and illustrate them clearly on plan.
• Deep soil analysis – indicate zones, depths and dimensions that meet the schedule, supported by a brief soil report.
• Plant species selection – propose suitable canopy and under-storey species; I’m open to suggestions provided they are locally appropriate and satisfy council guidelines for mature spread and water-wise performance.

File formats that integrate smoothly with Council’s online portal are essential (PDF plus the original CAD or GIS file). Please annotate everything to the standards set out in the Darebin Landscape Guidelines, including north point, scale, legend and a plant schedule table.

Acceptance will be based on:
1. Council acknowledgment that all mandatory canopy and soil metrics are met.
2. Drawings ready for immediate submission without further edit.
3. A concise planting schedule cross-referenced on plan.
