Danganronpa-Style Visual Novel Game

I plan to build a fully-featured visual novel inspired by Danganronpa, complete with the high-stakes courtroom drama, class-trial mechanics, and branching dialogue paths that define the series. The goal is to ship it simultaneously on PC and the latest generation consoles, presented in a crisp anime art style that matches the tense, over-the-top tone of the original source of inspiration.
Core scope
I already have the broad story outline and character profiles drafted; what I need now is an experienced game developer or small team that can take those creative assets and turn them into an interactive experience. That covers everything from scene scripting and UI flow to system coding for choice tracking, trial mini-games, and save management. Unity or another cross-platform engine is ideal as long as it can reliably export to both desktop and console storefront requirements.
Key expectations
• Anime-quality sprite and background integration, including simple cut-scene animation or Live2D-style motion where it matters.
• Tight narrative tools so I can continue to edit dialogue without touching source code.
• Controller support (Xbox/PlayStation layouts) alongside keyboard and mouse.
• A polished vertical slice (first chapter) used to test performance on each target platform before moving on to full production.
When you reply, focus on the experience you have shipping finished narrative games—especially any that made it through console certification—with links or store pages I can verify. If you have in-house anime artists or a partnership that keeps the pipeline smooth, mention that as well.
After we talk, I’ll share the script sample and art bible so you can provide a milestones plan, time estimate, and technical approach.
