I am launching a fun reading series for 7- to 9-year-olds and need a writer who can supply one original, written mystery story every day. Each tale should be short enough to read in a single sitting yet exciting enough to keep young minds guessing until the end.
The hook of every story must be a puzzle the reader can actively solve—secret codes, hidden clues, or simple logic riddles that tie directly into the plot. Please keep language age-appropriate, characters relatable, and suspense light-hearted; think intrigue without anything spooky or violent.
Deliverables
• One fully edited, proof-read story (400–600 words) delivered daily in Word or Google Docs
• A brief answer key explaining the solution to the puzzle
Acceptance criteria
• Clear beginning, middle, and satisfying reveal
• At least three embedded clues that lead logically to the solution
• Vocabulary suitable for mid-elementary reading levels (7-9 years old)
If you enjoy crafting clever puzzles and engaging young readers, I’d love to see a short sample or portfolio link with your bid.
