We need one vertical clip, ready to post on TikTok, cut from an hour-long podcast episode. The source video is linked below.
**What you deliver**
- One MP4, H.264, 9:16, 1080x1920, between 30 and 60 seconds.
- Burned-in captions: accurate to the audio, styled for mobile, large enough to read on a phone, never covering a face.
- The speaker stays properly framed. If two people are talking, reframe or use a split layout rather than cropping someone out.
- Clean, normalized audio. Music bed only if it genuinely helps.
- No watermarks, no third-party logos, no stock-footage padding.
- Along with the file, one line saying which timestamp in the source the clip came from.
**Where you have full freedom**
You pick the moment. That is the actual job, and it is why we are hiring an editor rather than running a script. Watch enough of the episode to find something worth 40 seconds of a stranger's attention: a strong hook in the first two seconds, a self-contained idea, a surprising or emotional beat, and an ending that lands instead of trailing off. Cuts, zooms, punch-ins, b-roll, text emphasis, keyword highlighting — all welcome if they serve the clip.
**How it will be judged**
We will watch it cold, on a phone, with no knowledge of the episode. If we would keep watching past two seconds and the clip makes sense on its own, it passes. If it reads as a random 45 seconds of a conversation, it does not, no matter how polished the edit is.
We are awarding several editors independently and each one delivers their own clip from the same episode. Please do not coordinate with anyone else — we want your taste, not a consensus.
