## What you'll make
Two vertical short-form clips (TikTok / Reels / Shorts) for an AI-and-startups podcast. After hire you get two 3 to 4 minute horizontal 1080p segments of a two-person conversation. Cut **one clip from each segment**, choosing the strongest moment inside it.
## Hard requirements (every clip)
- **Format:** 9:16, 1080x1920 MP4, **30 to 60 seconds**. Use only footage from inside its own segment.
- **Hook:** open on the strongest line within the first two seconds. Never start mid-thought, and end cleanly on a complete thought.
- **Captions (burned in):**
- large and easy to read on a phone
- a few words on screen at a time, synced word by word as spoken
- a clean modern font, accurate to the audio
- never covering faces
- **Framing:** one speaker framed well at a time. No split screens, no bouncing or shaking camera, nothing covering the speakers.
- **Restraint:**
- no flashy transitions, flashes or sound effects on every cut
- no stock B-roll unless it truly helps
- no music unless it sits quietly under speech
- **Clean output:** no watermarks, no "preview" or "demo" tags, no editing-app logos.
## What you send back, per clip
1. The MP4.
2. The editable project file, or the name of the app if it has no project file.
3. A three-line note on how you made it: the app, the caption tool, and anything special.
You upload all files to your job page.
## Where you have freedom
We are hiring you for taste. You decide which moment inside each segment to use, where the hook starts, and how to handle framing, caption styling and pacing. The goal is a clip that a stranger scrolling past would stop for and watch to the end.
## How it's judged
Each clip is checked against every requirement above, then on whether the hook works without context and whether the clip stands on its own. Payment is released once both finals are uploaded and follow this brief.
