Customs Invoice Generator Web App

I need a small web module that lets my operations team create fully-compliant customs invoices directly from our cargo & logistics system. The single focus is invoice generation, not full cargo tracking or warehouse management.

What the module must do
• Capture shipment data through a clean web form or API call.
• Automatically place Commodity descriptions, Country of origin and HS codes in the correct fields of the customs-invoice template.
• Output the finished document as PDF (print-ready) and as a JSON/XML payload we can forward to brokers.
• Store each invoice record so we can search, edit and re-issue later.

Preferred approach
Keep it lightweight—modern PHP/Laravel or Node/Express for the backend, a simple React or Vue front end, and a MySQL/PostgreSQL database. If you already have another stack that can hit the same results quickly, I’m open to it.

Acceptance criteria
1. Form/API correctly validates all three required data points and rejects incomplete submissions.
2. PDF layout matches the customs invoice sample I will supply.
3. Record persists in the database and can be retrieved by shipment number.
4. Clean, well-commented code delivered via Git.

Once this module is solid we may extend it to other document types, but right now it just needs to generate flawless customs invoices every time.
