Customized Sharetribe Marketplace Setup

# Sharetribe Expert Needed — Poshmark-Style Marketplace

I am looking for an **experienced Sharetribe specialist** to configure and customize a niche product resale marketplace.

This is NOT a standard ecommerce website and I am NOT looking for a general WordPress, Shopify, or web designer.

I specifically want someone with **extensive hands-on Sharetribe marketplace experience** who understands its buyer/seller architecture, transaction processes, payments, commissions, profiles, listings, messaging, search and customization capabilities.

For purposes of describing the project publicly, assume the marketplace is for **watches**. The actual niche and complete specifications will be disclosed to the selected developer.

## Marketplace Concept

The marketplace should function similarly in concept to Poshmark:

Users can both **buy and sell** products.

A seller should be able to create an account, establish their own personal **Closet/Storefront**, upload products, manage listings, communicate with buyers, complete transactions and receive payouts.

Buyers should be able to browse the overall marketplace, search and filter products, view individual listings, visit a seller's Closet, communicate with sellers and purchase securely.

## Core Requirements

### Seller

A seller must be able to:

* Register/login
* Create a profile
* Have a public Closet/Storefront
* Upload multiple product photographs
* Create, edit and remove listings
* Enter custom product attributes
* Set prices
* Manage available and sold listings
* Receive buyer messages
* Manage orders/transactions
* Receive payouts
* Build ratings/reviews where supported

### Buyer

A buyer must be able to:

* Browse without necessarily registering first
* Search the marketplace
* Use multiple filters simultaneously
* View individual listings
* View seller profiles/Closets
* Message sellers
* Purchase securely
* View orders
* Leave ratings/reviews

Where practical within Sharetribe, I would also like:

* Favorites/likes
* Offers or price negotiation

## Seller Closet

This is important.

Every seller should have a public profile that functions like a small personal store or "Closet."

It should display:

* Seller profile
* Rating/reviews
* Current listings
* Sold/history information where appropriate

A buyer viewing an individual product should be able to click the seller and browse the seller's other available products.

## Listings and Search

The marketplace must support **custom listing fields and strong filtering**.

Using watches only as the public example, fields might include:

* Brand
* Model
* Category
* Size
* Style
* Color
* Condition
* Price

Buyers must be able to combine multiple filters.

The actual custom fields for the real marketplace will be supplied after selection.

## Marketplace Transactions

This must operate as a genuine multi-vendor marketplace.

I need:

* Buyer payments
* Seller transactions
* Platform commission
* Seller payouts
* Order/transaction status
* Transaction records
* Cancellation/refund process
* Marketplace messaging
* Reviews/ratings where supported

Please explain exactly how you would implement the payment, commission and payout flow using Sharetribe and Stripe.

## Homepage

The homepage should be modern, clean, highly visual and mobile-first.

It should contain approximately:

* Logo/navigation
* Large marketplace search
* Browse
* Sell
* How It Works
* Login/Signup
* Messages when logged in
* Favorites where supported
* Hero section
* Product categories
* Featured/new listings
* How the marketplace works
* Seller recruitment call-to-action
* Trust/payment information

The marketplace should feel like a modern consumer resale platform rather than a traditional online store.

## Mobile

Mobile usability is extremely important.

The complete buyer journey must work smoothly:

**Browse → Search → Listing → Seller Closet → Purchase**

The complete seller journey must also work smoothly:

**Sign Up → Create Profile → Upload Product → Publish Listing → Manage Sale → Receive Payout**

## Administration

I need appropriate Sharetribe administration capabilities for:

* Users
* Listings
* Transactions
* Commissions
* Reviews
* Marketplace content
* Problem/reported listings

## Future Expansion

The first version should remain economical.

However, I want an experienced Sharetribe developer who understands how the marketplace could later be extended with features such as:

* Likes/favorites
* Following sellers
* Offers/counteroffers
* Saved searches
* Bundles
* Notifications
* Featured/promoted listings
* Additional social marketplace functionality
* AI integrations
* Mobile applications

These advanced features are NOT necessarily part of the initial quotation.

I want the first version built correctly so the marketplace can be extended as it proves itself.
