Hi,
I'm looking for a quote to design a custom angled mounting bracket for a Grandstream GDS3727 video door station. This is an indoor install in a commercial office.
The situation
- The unit mounts on a narrow painted post between two interior glass panels, directly above an existing mullion card reader.
- The usable mounting face is about 2-1/4" wide. Glass sits flush with the post face on both sides, with a small gap at the left edge.
- The camera needs to face 45° to the RIGHT: the thick side of the wedge on the left, the thin side on the right.
- On the right side, the unit will hang about 3/4" past the edge of the post, about 3/4" off the glass. Please check this clearance in your design.
Unit specs
- GDS3727: 180.6 x 86.6 x 29 mm (7.1 x 3.4 x 1.1"), about 0.5 kg (1.2 lb)
- Locks onto Grandstream's stock wall bracket with 2 x M3 x 6 mm screws
- I can provide the unit, its stock bracket and the positioning sticker so you can measure the hole pattern
Requirements
1. Wedge base no wider than 2", fastened with a single vertical line of screws centered on the post.
2. Angled face reproduces the stock bracket's attachment points so the unit locks on normally. Alternatively, the stock bracket could screw onto the angled face.
3. No part of the bracket or the unit may touch the glass. Please keep at least 1/4" of air gap.
4. Total projection from the wall no more than 4" (ADA protruding-object limit).
5. Hidden cable path through the wedge, so a PoE cable can come out of the post behind the bracket.
6. Heat-set brass inserts at all screw points that hold the unit.
7. PETG or PLA+, matte finish in black or a color to match the post. Please let me know if paint-matching is an option.
I have attached images of where it will be mounted and a rough design idea for the wedge.
