I want to build a small, self-contained application that lets me place and manage equity trades from a single interface. At this stage I have not committed to any one platform or trading style, so I am happy to consider web, desktop, or mobile solutions and to refine the workflow together once we review your proposed stack and timeline.
Core functions I need right away are:
• Secure sign-in tied to my brokerage API
• Real-time quotes and basic charting
• Order entry for market, limit, and stop orders
• A straightforward positions and P&L view
If you have experience wiring APIs such as Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, TD Ameritrade, or similar, please highlight that, along with the language or framework you would prefer (for example Python with FastAPI, React + Node, or a desktop solution in C#).
Acceptance criteria
1. Clean, intuitive UI that runs without glitches on the agreed platform.
2. All data must refresh in real time or near-real time (≤1 second delay).
3. Orders placed through the app appear in the live brokerage account immediately and confirmations are returned to the interface.
4. You supply installation instructions, commented source code, and a short video walkthrough of the main features.
I am ready to start as soon as I find someone who can demonstrate past work on trading or financial data applications.
