I’m still at the concept stage of a new embedded product and I need an experienced hardware consultant to help me shape the electronics from the ground up. The core of the design will be a compact custom PCB that talks over Wi-Fi and takes care of three key jobs: solid power-management, reliable sensor integration, and reading data that arrives from another connected board.
I’m flexible on the wireless silicon—ESP8266, ESP32, NRF24L01 or any other well-supported module that fits the brief is fine—so long as you can justify the choice against power budget, antenna considerations and firmware ecosystem.
What I need from you:
• Component selection and block-level architecture that balances cost, power draw and ease of manufacture
• A first-pass schematic and PCB layout (KiCad, Altium or Eagle—whatever you are quickest with)
• Clear notes on power domains, battery-charging strategy and sensor signal integrity
• Guidance on firmware hooks to prove the radio link and basic sensor reads during bring-up
Acceptance is simple: once I can send a test packet over Wi-Fi, read a dummy sensor value and see stable power rails in your design files, we’re good. If you’re confident in low-power RF layouts and have taken a board from idea to first prototypes before, let’s start mapping this out.
