I want to launch a premium online clothing store built entirely from scratch—no WordPress, no Shopify, and no off-the-shelf templates. The look and feel must echo high-end labels: minimalist layouts, generous white space, neutral colour palettes, and crisp typography that lets product imagery breathe.
Core shopping experience
• Shoppers need to browse effortlessly by category, size, and colour.
• They must be able to add items to a cart, pay online, and receive real-time order confirmation.
• Registered accounts are essential so customers can track orders and curate favourites for later.
Payments
At launch the checkout has to support credit and debit cards, Cash-on-Delivery, and UPI. Please implement a well-documented gateway so I can add PayPal or Apple/Google Pay later without a full rebuild.
Admin side
I need a secure dashboard where I can upload products with variants, set stock levels, manage orders and returns, run discount codes, and view basic sales analytics. Role-based access control is a must.
Device coverage & performance
The site should be fully responsive, load quickly on 3G, and follow SEO best practices (clean URLs, meta tags, structured data). Core Web Vitals scores will be part of acceptance testing.
Tech expectations
Use a modern stack you’re comfortable maintaining—React or Vue on the front end, Node, Laravel, or an equivalent robust framework on the back end, with MySQL/PostgreSQL for data and Git for version control. Please avoid bloated libraries and keep the codebase well commented.
Deliverables (hand-off ready)
1. Production-ready storefront and admin panel deployed to my VPS
2. Source code in a private Git repo with setup instructions
3. Database schema and seed data
4. Payment gateway configuration keys abstracted to .env
5. Short video walkthrough showing product upload, checkout flow, and order management
Acceptance criteria
• All user flows above complete without errors on Chrome, Safari, and mobile browsers
• Checkout processes real test transactions for cards, COD, and UPI
• Lighthouse performance score ≥ 90 on desktop and mobile home page
• Admin roles restrict access correctly (tested with dummy accounts)
If any requirement is unclear, let’s iron it out early so the build stays clean and elegant from day one.
