Custom LMS System Build

I’m looking for an experienced LMS specialist who can guide and execute the full build of a learning management system that delivers both self-paced modules and live, instructor-led sessions inside the same platform.

My priority is a smooth learner experience: students should be able to move seamlessly from recorded lessons to scheduled live classes, track their progress, and receive feedback without ever leaving the portal. To make that happen, the core of the system must include:

• Quizzes, assignments, and certificates

Beyond the learner side, the back-end needs a robust role structure where I, as an administrator, can oversee everything while individual instructors manage only their own courses and resources. Think granular permissions for uploading content, grading, and reporting so that multiple stakeholders can work independently without stepping on each other’s toes.

I’m open on the tech stack—whether you recommend customizing Moodle, building on top of WordPress/LearnDash, or creating a standalone Laravel or Django application—but I’ll rely on you to present the pros, cons, and cost/time implications of each route. Once we agree on a direction, I’ll need an implementation roadmap, database schema, and a clear hand-off plan so my in-house team can maintain the system long-term.
