Custom HTML/CSS Website Setup

I already have a registered domain, but that’s it—no hosting and no site files yet. I’d like you to take me from blank canvas to a live, fully responsive website written in clean, standards-compliant custom HTML and CSS (with a sprinkle of vanilla JavaScript if you need it for subtle interactions).

Here’s what I have in mind:
• Recommend and configure a reliable hosting plan, point my domain’s DNS to it, and enable SSL so the site launches on HTTPS from day one.
• Design and code a lightweight, fast-loading layout that adapts beautifully on mobile, tablet, and desktop. I’m picturing a modern look with no heavy frameworks—just handcrafted markup and style sheets that are easy for me to tweak later.
• Upload everything, test across the major browsers, and hand over the source files with a brief “how-to” so I can update text or images myself.
