Custom Bluetooth Mobile App

I’m looking to turn a hardware idea into a working proof-of-concept mobile application that communicates over Bluetooth. While the exact device category and target platform are still being finalised, I want the core Bluetooth layer built in a way that can be reused on both iOS and Android once the specs are locked in.

Here’s what I need right now: a clean, well-structured codebase that can discover, pair with, and exchange data over Bluetooth with an external device. The app should report connection status, handle basic data-in / data-out, and surface any errors gracefully. I’ll provide the UUIDs, characteristics, and sample payloads as soon as they’re ready; in the meantime, please include a small mock service so the flow can be demonstrated end-to-end.

If you prefer Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native, let me know—my priority is maintainability and clear documentation, not a specific framework. Make sure to outline how you’ll approach permission handling, background operation limits, and device compatibility testing.
