I’m looking for a developer (or team) who can architect and build a fully-featured B2B wholesale e-commerce site that matches the smooth ordering journey you see on tropicanawholesale.com, yet is completely original in design, code, and branding. The store must comfortably handle thousands of SKUs, hundreds of brands, and a high volume of trade customers without performance drops.
The core features I absolutely need are robust user account management with tiered pricing, a friction-free order-processing flow that supports repeat orders and bulk uploads, and a highly searchable, filterable product catalogue. Beyond replicating those essentials, I’m keen to hear ideas for streamlining the purchasing workflow or adding dashboard insights that typical wholesalers overlook.
My initial preference is WordPress with WooCommerce for its plug-and-play flexibility and rich plugin ecosystem, but I’m open to a different stack if you can justify clear performance or scalability advantages.
Key expectations and deliverables
• A custom, responsive front end that reflects modern B2B design standards
• Secure user registration, approval, and trade-only login with VAT/tax handling
• Tier-based pricing, discounts, and minimum order logic configurable per account
• Fast bulk-order tools (CSV upload, quick-order form, saved lists)
• Intuitive admin panel for product, brand, and order management
• Integration with common payment gateways and real-time shipping APIs
• Optimised database and caching so large catalogues load in milliseconds
• Clear documentation and a short hand-over session so my in-house team can maintain the site
Acceptance criteria
The finished site must pass Google PageSpeed 90+ on desktop, process a 5,000-item catalogue without noticeable slowdown, and allow a new trade customer to register, get approved, and complete an order in under five minutes (tested with sample data).
If this sounds like a build you can own end-to-end—coding, UI/UX, QA, and deployment—please share relevant B2B examples and outline your proposed tech stack, timeline, and milestone structure.
