I want to surprise my wife on our upcoming anniversary with a completely original acoustic-folk song that tells the story of our love. I hear a warm, guitar-driven arrangement—something intimate and sincere rather than polished pop production. The lyrics should weave in our journey together, capturing how we met, fell in love, and grew stronger through the years.
Key moments to include:
- We met through my best friend Dante, who played matchmaker.
- Our first kiss was on the curb outside my parents' house under a streetlight on the 4th of July.
- I told her I loved her after a week while wearing a purple shirt on her parents' couch. She thought I was crazy and didn’t say it back.
