Curved Backdrop Truss Design

The structure will support three theatrical backdrops arranged in a curved triangular configuration. Each of the three sides must accommodate:

Backdrops measuring 10 feet wide × 12 feet high
One parallel curtain rails positioned in front of the backdrop (for front curtains that can open and close independently

Appropriate attachment points for the backdrop, curtain tracks, and related hardware

The completed structure will therefore include three backdrop positions and six curtain rails in total.

Required Scope of Work

Develop the overall curved triangular truss configuration
Determine the exterior footprint and interior clear dimensions
Design the three 10′-wide × 12′-high backdrop-supporting sections
Integrate one curtain rails along the front of each side
Specify truss profiles, vertical supports, corner connections, braces, bases, and attachment hardware
Determine safe clearances between the backdrops, curtains, rails, and truss
Specify wheels attachment requirements
Account for lateral movement caused by opening and closing the curtains
Design the system for safe assembly, disassembly, transportation, and repeated theatrical use
Identify any custom-fabricated components
Recommend appropriate commercially available components whenever possible

Virtual Meetings Are Essential

The selected freelancer must be available for virtual video meetings throughout the project. Meetings are essential for reviewing the concept, clarifying operational requirements, discussing revisions, and confirming that the final design reflects the intended theatrical use.

Applicants who are unable to participate in virtual meetings should not apply.
