# Educational Curriculum & PowerPoint Designer Needed for Ongoing Culinary Education Series
I am a professional chef and culinary educator developing a branded series of **high-school culinary education curriculum packages for commercial publication**.
I am looking for a reliable freelancer who can take my completed educational content and established designs and turn them into polished, consistent instructional materials.
**This is intended to become an ongoing working relationship.** I currently have at least **10 curriculum units planned**, with additional units expected in the future.
## Important: The Design Direction & Instructional Structure Are Already Established
I am **not looking for someone to reinvent my curriculum, branding, teaching methodology, or overall design**.
I will provide:
* Educational content and subject matter
* Basic PowerPoint design and layout
* Student Workbook design/layout
* Teacher Guide design/layout
* Teacher instructional content
* Instructions explaining how the teacher should use the unit
* A **three-day pacing guide** for each unit
* Branding and visual direction
* Examples/templates to follow
* Instructions for each unit
The freelancer's responsibility is to take my content, instructional structure, and established designs and turn them into a polished, professional, and consistent curriculum package.
---
# Deliverables for Each Curriculum Unit
## 1. Educational PowerPoint
Create a professional educational PowerPoint using the content I provide and following my established design.
The PowerPoint should:
* Follow my existing layout and visual style
* Organize the supplied material into a logical lesson sequence
* Follow the instructional sequence and pacing I provide
* Maintain consistent fonts, headings, spacing, colors, and formatting
* Use appropriate educational photographs, graphics, diagrams, or visual aids where needed
* Keep slides visually engaging without overcrowding them
* Be appropriate for high-school culinary students
* Be delivered as a fully editable PowerPoint file
The PowerPoint will serve as the **primary instructional source for the entire unit**.
---
## 2. Student Workbook
Using the PowerPoint as the primary source, create a corresponding Student Workbook using the layout/design I provide.
The workbook should reinforce the material students learn in the presentation.
Depending on the unit, it may include:
* Key vocabulary
* Guided notes
* Supporting reading
* Review questions
* Short-answer questions
* Matching activities
* Identification or labeling activities
* Crossword puzzles
* Word searches
* Other appropriate educational activities
The workbook should generally follow the same instructional sequence as the PowerPoint and the three-day pacing structure I provide.
**Important:** Review questions should reinforce key concepts that may later appear on the written assessment.
Deliverables should include an **editable source file and print-ready PDF**.
---
## 3. Teacher Workbook / Teacher Guide
Create a Teacher Workbook/Guide using the layout/design and teacher content I provide.
**I will provide the core teacher instructional content**, including:
* How to use the curriculum package
* The instructional structure of the unit
* A **three-day pacing guide**
* Teacher directions and expectations
* Other teacher-specific instructional information as needed
The freelancer is responsible for professionally formatting and integrating this material into the Teacher Guide.
The Teacher Guide should also correspond directly with the Student Workbook and include:
* Answers to all workbook questions
* Completed activities
* Crossword and word-search solutions
* Suggested answers where appropriate
* References to corresponding PowerPoint material where helpful
* Assessment answer key
The freelancer should **not independently change the pacing, instructional approach, or teaching methodology without approval**.
The goal is to create a complete instructional package that another culinary teacher can easily understand and use while preserving the instructional system I have developed.
Deliverables should include an **editable source file and print-ready PDF**.
---
## 4. Ten-Question Written Assessment
Create a written assessment based **only on material taught in the PowerPoint and reinforced in the Student Workbook**.
Each assessment must contain exactly:
* **7 Multiple-Choice Questions**
* **3 True/False Questions**
Questions should be clear, meaningful, and appropriate for high-school students.
The assessment should focus on the major learning concepts from the unit rather than minor or obscure details.
A separate **teacher answer key** must also be included.
---
# How the Materials Work Together
This is one coordinated curriculum system:
**My Source Content → PowerPoint → Student Workbook → Teacher Guide → Assessment**
The **three-day pacing guide** establishes how the instructional materials are intended to be delivered.
All materials must align.
The Student Workbook and assessment should **not introduce information that was never taught in the PowerPoint**.
Consistency and accuracy between all components are extremely important.
---
# First Project — Prototype Unit
The first assignment will be **one complete curriculum unit**.
This first unit will establish the permanent production format for the series.
I expect some revisions during this initial project as we establish standards for:
* PowerPoint formatting
* Slide content density
* Workbook formatting
* Teacher Guide formatting
* Integration of the three-day pacing guide
* Question styles
* Educational activities
* Teacher answer formatting
* Graphics and visual elements
* File organization
* Naming conventions
* Overall presentation quality
Once approved, the first unit will become our **master production standard**.
Future units should become significantly easier and faster because the design, structure, pacing format, and expectations will already be established.
---
# Ongoing Work
After successfully completing the prototype, I currently plan to produce at least **9 additional curriculum units**.
Additional curriculum packages are expected after the initial series.
I would prefer to develop a **long-term relationship with one freelancer** who learns the system rather than hire a different person for every unit.
---
# Commercial-Use & Ownership Requirements
These materials are being created for commercial publication.
Therefore:
* All photographs, graphics, fonts, icons, puzzles, illustrations, and other assets must be legally permitted for commercial use.
* No copyrighted worksheets, curriculum, text, photographs, or graphics may be copied from other sources without appropriate rights.
* Third-party commercial assets must be properly licensed.
* Sources/licenses should be documented when applicable.
* I must receive all final editable/source files.
* Materials created specifically for this project must include commercial usage rights for the completed curriculum product.
Please do not use assets if their commercial licensing is uncertain.
---
# Ideal Freelancer
Experience in one or more of the following would be especially helpful:
* Educational curriculum development
* Instructional design
* PowerPoint design
* Student workbook development
* Teacher guides
* Educational assessment development
* High-school education
* Career and Technical Education (CTE)
* Culinary or hospitality education
* Commercial educational publishing
**Culinary expertise is helpful but not required.**
I will provide the culinary content, instructional framework, pacing, and subject-matter direction.
The ability to **follow an established format, maintain consistency, communicate well, and pay close attention to detail** is more important.
---
# Please Include With Your Bid
Please provide:
1. Examples of educational PowerPoints, workbooks, teacher guides, curriculum, or similar instructional materials you have created.
2. The software you use to create PowerPoints and workbooks.
3. Your experience with educational or curriculum design.
4. Confirmation that you will provide editable source files.
5. Confirmation that you understand the commercial-use and copyright requirements.
6. Your **fixed price for completing the first prototype unit**.
7. Your estimated **price per unit for future units** once the master format has been established.
8. Your estimated turnaround time for one complete curriculum package.
Please do not submit only a generic graphic-design portfolio. I am particularly interested in seeing examples of **educational or instructional materials**.
# Long-Term Opportunity
This first project is intended to establish the production system and identify the right freelancer.
For the right person, this can lead to **10+ complete curriculum packages and additional future projects**.
Quality, consistency, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow the established format will be the primary factors in selecting a freelancer.
