The goal is to deliver a polished mobile application that serves as the central order-tracking portal for our logistics hub. It must run smoothly on both iOS and Android, giving customers a single place to follow every shipment from dispatch to delivery.
Core workflow
• A user enters or scans an order number.
• The app pulls real-time location data from our existing logistics system and displays it on an interactive map.
• At each status change—picked up, in transit, out for delivery, delivered—push notifications fire instantly.
• All completed jobs are stored locally in a searchable order history that can be viewed online or offline.
Technical expectations
• Cross-platform codebase using Flutter or React Native is welcome, but separate native projects are fine if you prefer Swift + Kotlin.
• Secure REST or GraphQL endpoints will be supplied; you hook in, handle authentication, and keep tracking latency below five seconds.
• Push messaging should rely on Firebase Cloud Messaging and APNs.
• Real-time updates may come through WebSockets, MQTT, or Firebase Realtime Database—choose whichever meets the latency target.
• Clean MVC/MVVM architecture, clear inline comments, and Git version control from day one.
Deliverables
1. Wireframes and final UI assets (Figma / Adobe XD).
2. Fully functioning iOS and Android apps.
3. Backend integration layer with environment variables for easy hand-off.
4. Automated test suite covering major flows.
5. Build & submission guidance for App Store and Google Play.
6. Developer documentation and a short video walkthrough.
Acceptance criteria
• Map updates appear within five seconds of a status change.
• Push notifications reach test devices 100 % of the time.
• Order history persists after log-out and device restart.
• Codebase compiles error-free on a fresh machine with provided instructions.
Once these points are met and the apps are live in their respective stores, the project is considered complete.
