I’m looking to have a brand-new desktop application built that runs smoothly on both Windows and Linux. I am open to the underlying tech stack—Electron, Qt, .NET (Core), or another cross-platform framework—as long as the final executables feel native on each OS and are easy for end-users to install.
At this stage the functional brief is broad, so I’ll be counting on you to guide the discovery phase with quick proofs of concept and iterative feedback sessions. Once we have agreed on the core feature set, you will move on to full implementation, packaging, and post-build testing on the two target platforms.
Deliverables
• Installers for Windows (.exe or .msi) and Linux (.deb/.rpm or AppImage)
• Clean, well-commented source code in a public or private Git repo
• Build/packaging scripts so I can reproduce the release artifacts
• A concise setup & user guide
Strong communication during development is essential; please outline your preferred workflow, toolchain, and any prior cross-platform successes when you get in touch.
