Creative Video Editor Needed for Political Debate & Commentary Videos | Storytelling, Memes & High-Retention Editing

### Humor, Narrative & Editorial Direction

I am looking for an editor who can do more than make a debate visually interesting. The editor should understand how to **shape the material into a strong narrative with humor, tension, contrast, and a clear editorial point of view**.

Depending on the video, the edit may be:

- Funny, sarcastic, meme-heavy, or satirical
- Structured around exposing contradictions or weak arguments
- Built around a specific political or ideological perspective
- Designed to reinforce the broader editorial position of the channel
- Focused on making one central argument easy for the audience to follow
- Structured with setups, callbacks, reactions, punchlines, and payoffs
- Edited so that the strongest moments build toward a clear conclusion

You should be able to understand the **intended narrative of the video** and make creative editing decisions that support it.

For example, if a speaker makes a claim and later contradicts it, you should recognize the opportunity to:

Claim

→ Contradicting clip
→ Zoom/reaction/meme
→ Supporting evidence
→ Commentary
→ Punchline or conclusion

Humor should feel **organic to the argument**, rather than randomly inserting memes every few seconds.

### Editorial Judgment

The ideal editor should be comfortable working with a defined editorial or political perspective.

I may provide the general argument, position, or conclusion that the video is exploring, but I want the editor to independently identify the clips, reactions, comparisons, memes, visual evidence, and moments that make that narrative entertaining and convincing.

At the same time, edits should **not fabricate statements, materially misrepresent what somebody said, or remove context in a way that creates a false impression**.

The goal is:

I want viewers to feel like they are watching an entertaining political story rather than simply watching edited debate footage.
